'Changing Mindsets' School Competition classes 9th -12th In 2008, JSK in collaboration with the Bihar Education Department, organized a competition among schools classes 9th -12th in Patna on the theme of Changing Mindsets to encourage students to think on issues related to women's empowerment, sex ratio, maternal and child health and nutrition.

They were encouraged to pick up subjects and get ideas by logging onto the Virtual Resource Centre - an advocacy tool set up by JSK to promote greater dialogue and discussion on the issues related to population stabilization. 13 schools participated with 199 entries in both still and video categories.

Professor F. B Khan from Mass Communication Research Centre Jamia Millia Islamia and Parav Sahani, a reputed freelance photographer were invited to judge and select the best 3 entries under still and video separately plus 1 consolation prize.
